Police Simulator

Police Simulator is a free 3D driving game where you take a cruiser out on patrol, chase suspects, and work through a list of cop duties in a busy city. It runs in the browser, needs no download, and moves between checkpoints, escorts and full pursuit scenes without much waiting.

The handling sits on the arcade side, which I like. The car turns in quickly, the back end slides when you push it through a corner, and a messy line rarely ruins the run because you can usually recover and get straight back on the throttle. It came out in 2022 and still works well as a short break game.

Cop Duties, One Call at a Time

There is no long story here. The job arrives as separate assignments, and most of them are finished in a couple of minutes.

Get through a checkpoint line without touching the cones.
Drive to the bank when that call comes in.
Run an escort for the president and keep the route clean.
Chase a suspect car and bump it until it stops.
Show up at an accident scene.
Hit a required speed when the job calls for it.

Failing one just means another attempt, and that low pressure is a big part of why the game is easy to pick up.

Chases, Cones and Close Calls

The pursuit jobs are the loudest part of the whole thing. You sit behind a suspect, close the gap, and keep shunting the rear bumper until the car finally gives up. Your own speed works against you the whole way, so a clean finish feels earned. A short tap of the brakes before a corner keeps the nose pointed where you want it, and drifting through the wide turns is the fastest way to catch back up.

Checkpoint runs are calmer. The cones punish a lazy line, and the speed jobs are basically a straight test of nerve. Those assignments give you something to do besides chase, which keeps short sessions from feeling samey.

Ranks, Unlocks and Reasons to Come Back

Missions feed into progress. Finish them and you earn ranks, and the garage slowly opens up with more cars to drive. It is a simple loop, and for me the car unlocks did more to keep me playing than anything else. The game is listed for kids and it keeps things blood free, so the action is about control instead of violence. The whole appeal of Police Simulator is that a short chase with a clean stop is satisfying on its own.

Police Simulator Controls and Car Handling

Everything runs on the keyboard, and the game lists the controls as Arrow keys or WASD. The layout is the standard driving one, so you can start moving without checking a menu.

Up arrow or W feeds the throttle.
Down arrow or S brakes and reverses.
Left and right arrows, or A and D, steer the cruiser.

No mouse and no extra buttons are needed. The game page lists desktop, tablet and mobile browsers, so the same driving is reachable on a touch screen when you are away from a keyboard.
