Racing in City

You jam the throttle, swerve around a taxi and nearly kiss the curb on turn one, and that tiny rush is pretty much the whole game.

Racing in City is a simple street racer where you dart through traffic, chase down opponents, hit checkpoints and cash in for upgrades. Cars feel a bit loose, which makes drifting fun but also messy when the AI clips you. I like how the corners reward a quick handbrake flick instead of perfect steering, so crashes feel blameable and fixable.

What you do: pick a car, run timed city circuits or short head to heads, tinker with acceleration, handling and nitro, then retry the same map until you stop spinning out. Upgrades matter more for handling than raw speed, so spend wisely. Use nitro on long straights, not into a tight corner, and don’t be stingy with the handbrake in tight hairpins.

Controls

  • Arrow keys or WASD to steer, gas and brake
  • Space for handbrake, great for drifting into corners
  • Shift or Ctrl for nitro boost
  • R to restart a race, mouse to look around if the camera is free

Feels kind of arcade, not realistic. Expect sloppy collisions and cheap-o AI moments, but it scratches that quick race itch. If you want longer runs, lock onto the checkpoints and treat traffic like moving walls, not obstacles you can bully through.
