Zombie Dash

Zombie Dash is a 3D lane runner built around dodging obstacles while a zombie horde breathes down your neck. You steer a sprinter left and right across multi-lane tracks and just keep the pace up until you reach the checkered line. It runs in the browser with no download and no install, and it plays the same whether you are on a laptop, a tablet or a phone.

Chased Through a 3D Lane Runner

Lane runners live or die on how readable the track is, and this one keeps things clean. Every course is a bright low-poly strip split into lanes, with farm carts, wooden crates, fallen logs and low fences parked in your path. Veer into one and you slow down instead of stopping dead, which sounds forgiving until you feel the pack close the gap behind you. The zombie angle is what gives it teeth. You are not fighting anything back, you are only outrunning it, so a whole stage turns into one long held breath.

What Happens in a Single Stage

A run starts with a short countdown and then your character takes off on its own. The job is reading the road a couple of lanes ahead, drifting around hazards and threading the narrow gaps where the track pinches in. Miss one and the stumble costs you speed, and that lost speed is usually the whole stage: the swarm catches up, everything resets, and you are back at the start line. Cross the finish and you bank up to three stars depending on how clean the ride was. Later courses stack the obstacles tighter and closer together, so the same easy dodge gets a lot less obvious.

Controls for Switching Lanes

Everything happens on the horizontal axis, so the control scheme is about as small as it gets.

A or the Left Arrow key moves your runner one lane to the left.
D or the Right Arrow key moves one lane to the right.
There is no jump and no forward key, the runner keeps moving by itself.

On desktop, the keyboard is all you need, and the game is also built for tablet and mobile play. The trick is switching early. The lanes are wide but the reaction window at full speed is tight, and a late tap reads as a full stop once the zombie on your shoulder catches up.

Coins, Stars and the Outfit Shop

Finishing stages is not the only pull here. Each track scatters gold coins across the lanes, and grabbing them is its own small risk, because the coin line often runs right beside the obstacle you are trying to dodge. The coins feed a wardrobe shop with outfits and skins for your runner. It is all cosmetic, so nothing you buy makes the next stage easier. The three-star rating is the part that keeps me replaying a track I have already cleared, and I tend to go coin first and clean run second, which is probably why most of my stars stop at one.
