Snake Io

Snake Io

You click to move and your little worm lurches off the center dot, immediately hungry for the glowing pellets. For a few seconds it’s calm, then someone spikes by and suddenly you are in the middle of a feeding frenzy.

What you do is simple, stupidly satisfying stuff: eat pellets to grow, bump other snakes to make them explode into snacks, and use a short boost to cut corners or escape. Controls are casual, usually mouse or touch to steer and click or tap to boost; on keyboard you can use arrow keys or WASD and space or shift often gives you the dash move.

Playing feels like a messy mix of tense chases and chill farming. It can get hectic when a big snake decides to encircle you, and quiet and oddly relaxing when you solo a corner for a while. I like the clean chaos, though bigger players can be annoying as hell.

  • Quick advice: when you’re small, hug the edges and avoid boosting into crowds, use boost only to cut off targets or escape, and try circling tiny snakes to trap them.
  • Controls: mouse/tap to steer, click/tap or space to boost, arrow keys or WASD also work.
