Ships 3d
You press W, the bow nosedives into chop, and that slow heavy turn makes you grin or swear depending on who just fired a shell at you.
What you do is simple, but satisfying. You pilot a ship in full 3D, line up your guns, manage speed and heading, and try not to get flanked. There are capture points, torpedoes to dodge, smoke and repair consumables to pop, and a little bit of angling your armor so shells glance off. It feels chunky and a bit clunky in the best way, like the ships actually have mass and momentum.
- Controls: WASD or arrow keys to steer and throttle, mouse to aim and left click to fire, scroll wheel to zoom, right mouse to look around, space to drop speed or reverse, Q and E to rotate camera or toggle turret modes depending on ship.
- What you basically do: move, aim, fire, use consumables, capture zones, and try not to present a big flat target.
- How it feels:slow, tactical, satisfying when a salvo finds its mark, tense when torpedoes are incoming.
I like the way damage and hits sound, it gives the game a gutsy personality even if the UI is a little bare. If you play like a kamikaze, you die fast, so angle your bow to split incoming fire and use islands as cover, that will save you more than trying to out-gun everyone head on.
If you want similar vibes try World of Warships, Naval Action, classic Battleship reboots, or even Sea of Thieves for a looser, piratey take. This one scratches that naval itch without asking for a huge time sink, and a quiet match can turn into a hectic last minute brawl real quick.
