Blocky Guns

Blocky Guns is a first-person shooter you can play free in the browser, no download. You drop into blocky 3D levels, gather colored blocks, craft pistols, machine guns and rocket launchers, then blast waves of enemies. Every weapon eats blocks of two colors, so the shooting and the scavenging never stop for long.

Collecting Blocks Is Half The Fight

Enemies drop colored cubes when they go down, and you need those cubes for everything. Building a new weapon takes blocks of two specific colors, so a run turns into a constant search for the shade you are missing. The choice between grabbing what you need for the next gun and saving the good blocks for a bigger upgrade keeps coming back around. That little trade-off is the part of the game I keep thinking about after a session ends.

Machine Guns, Rockets And Everything Between

The arsenal grows fast. Pistols carry the early fights, machine guns shred packs of enemies, and rocket launchers plus grenades handle the moments when a whole cluster needs to disappear. Each weapon feels different enough that swapping mid-level actually matters. Upgrades are the other half of the loop, and unlocking stronger gear is the reason to keep gathering while bullets fly.

A Typical Run In Blocky Guns

A level opens quietly, then enemies arrive in waves. You move, aim, fire, back off when too many of them bunch together, and switch weapons for whatever is walking toward you. The win condition is simple: eliminate every enemy on the map. Ermac Alex developed the game, and it launched on 8 May 2026, so it is a fresh addition to the browser shooter pile. Clearing a stage with a weapon you built from loose blocks mid-fight feels genuinely good.

How The Firefights Feel

The shooting is snappy rather than realistic, and strafing while firing covers most of the skill curve. Enemies pop into cubes, which doubles as a small reward and as your supply line for the next weapon. Do not hoard grenades. A grenade that clears four enemies is worth more than the perfect throw you saved for later, and I have died with a full slot more times than I want to admit.

Controls On Desktop And Touch Screens

The game runs on desktop, iOS and Android, and the inputs stay simple. On a computer:

  • WASD moves your character.
  • Mouse aims the gun you are holding.
  • Left click fires it.

On a touch screen, a virtual joystick takes over movement while the buttons on the right side handle aiming, shooting and switching weapons. That covers everything a run asks of you.
