Shadow Fight 2

Shadow Fight 2 is a 2D fighting game where you guide a shadow warrior through one on one duels against demons and skilled opponents. You strike, block, dodge and throw weapons, upgrade gear between fights, and it plays in the browser on desktop, tablet and mobile with no download.

How the Fights Actually Work

Every duel is a side view scrap between two silhouettes in a walled arena, with health bars at the top and a shadow energy bar that fills as hits land on either side. Combat follows a simple logic of pressure and punishment. Walking forward puts your opponent on the back foot, but a careless kick gets caught by a counter. Block high attacks, crouch under swings, hop over sweeps, then answer with a quick punch while the other fighter is still recovering. Heavy blows hurt more and leave bigger openings. Throwing a knife at someone who is strolling into range never gets old, and the 9.3 rating from 379 votes suggests plenty of players agree.

What Shadow Fight 2 Is About

The story starts when a warrior opens the Gates of Shadows and lets a pack of demons loose on the world. Cleaning up that mistake means fighting through their ranks one boss at a time, and the campaign keeps adding tougher opponents with new tricks. Nekki built the game, and the browser version landed on 29 May 2026 as an HTML5 release, so the same fights run on desktop, tablet and mobile screens.

Weapons, Armor and Shadow Energy

Coins earned from duels go straight into gear. Weapons change reach and speed, armor and helms decide how much punishment you can absorb, and each new piece looks different in motion, which makes trying them out half the fun. Ranged weapons and magic spells round out the loadout, while the shadow energy bar can swing a fight that was going badly once it fills up. The RPG layer stays easy to read, upgrade what you like and sell what you do not, and it gives every win a reward beyond the next boss.

Touch and Mouse Controls

The browser build keeps the mobile layout, so everything sits on screen and responds to a finger or a mouse.

  • Joystick on the left side: drag it away from your opponent to walk backward, push it toward them to close the gap.
  • Flick the joystick up to jump, pull it down to crouch under high strikes.
  • Kick button: throws a kick, and nudging the joystick up, down or back first turns it into a different strike.
  • Punch button: fast jabs with shorter reach. Hold it down for a charged heavy blow.
  • Throw button: launches your ranged weapon at opponents who like to keep their distance.
  • Magic button: spends the magic charge on a spell once the meter is full.

On a touchscreen this is thumbs only. With a mouse, drag the joystick with the left click and press the action buttons the same way you would tap them.
