Getting Over It

That tiny moment when your hammer slips and you watch everything tumble back down, you swear, then you laugh, then you keep playing. It nails that stomach-drop, hair-pull loop perfectly.

You sit in a metal pot and you move a giant hammer with the mouse to hook, push, fling and pivot yourself up a ridiculous mountain of random obstacles. It is all physics, timing and stubbornness. You basically aim the hammer, use it as a lever, and slowly climb, and when you fail you often fall much farther than you expected.

It feels cruel and oddly funny at the same time. I love how it makes you cuss and quiet-laugh at once, and it will ruin an hour faster than you expect. Try small, steady pushes near sketchy ledges instead of big flails, and if you get tilted, take a short break before trying again.

Controls

  • Mouse: move to aim and swing the hammer.
  • Click and drag: use for stronger, controlled pushes and anchors.
  • Trackpad or touch: drag with a finger or two, works but feels fiddlier.
  • No complicated keyboard controls, everything is basically mouse-driven.
