Blobade

Blobade is a free browser battle royale where you steer a hungry blob around a shrinking arena, slash rival blobs with a quick attack, and swallow every scrap of food you can reach before a bigger player swallows you. No download, nothing to install. It runs on desktop, tablet and phone.

Blobade Gameplay Basics

Each round drops you in as a tiny blob with almost no reach. Chests lie scattered around the map and most of them are packed with food, so cracking one open is usually the fastest way to put on some size. Your level climbs as you eat, and with it come more health, a longer attack and a bigger score. The safe ground shrinks as the match runs, shoving the survivors closer together. That is where the messy fights happen.

Rival blobs start small too, but one that has been feeding for a minute hits far harder than you do. You can still chip away at something larger, which keeps the opening minutes tense. I like how the game never quite lets you relax. There is always another chest to open, and always somebody circling it.

Reading the other players ends up mattering as much as clicking speed. A blob standing in open ground next to a full chest is easy prey, and the trick works both ways when you time a dash into someone who just wasted theirs. Small calls like that settle matches faster than raw size does, which is why I keep nudging the zone rather than charging straight in.

Growing Past the Starting Size

Gold is the long game. You grab it during matches and keep it even after you go down, so a rough round still pays out. Spend it in the shop and you can unlock new blobs, different looks, and gear that includes weapons and pets. That slow collection grind is the reason I kept coming back after a few bad losses.

Practice rounds against the computer are a decent place to learn the timing, and a private room code lets you pull friends into the same arena. The game came out on 21 Aug 2026, runs on HTML5, and holds a 6.4 rating from 22 votes. No developer is listed on the page.

Controls

Everything runs off the mouse, and the whole scheme fits into one round of practice.

Mouse pointer: the blob drifts toward the cursor, so you steer by sliding it around.
Left click: a quick slash that connects with any rival blob within range.
Hold left click: keeps the button down while the dash charges up.
Release left click: fires the stored dash and launches you across the arena.

That dash is the part worth practicing. It doubles as an escape when a heavier blob traps you against the closing edge, so keep a little charge in reserve for the panic moments.
