A Supermarket Staffed by Capybaras
Capybara Mart is a supermarket management game where a team of capybaras runs a small grocery store. You walk the aisles, stock shelves, serve the shoppers, and spend the profits on new products and extra helpers. It runs in the browser and costs nothing to start, so there is no download or install to worry about.
The store itself is the star. Wooden shelves, fruit crates, palm trees out front, and a floor full of round little capybaras in aprons and hats. AZGames built it in HTML5 and released it in August 2026, and at the time of writing it sits at 9.2 out of 10 from 36 votes on its store page. That score is a little generous, though I get it. The capybara faces carry the whole thing, and the game never turns stressful.
Capybara Mart Gameplay Basics
You begin with a few mostly empty shelves and whatever money is in the register. Boxes of goods show up, and your job is to get them onto the right shelf before shoppers wander in looking for them. Every item sold turns into coins, and coins turn into more. New products, extra aisles, and eventually extra capybaras to share the work.
The hiring side is the part I enjoy most. Once a helper is on the payroll, they restock and handle small tasks on their own, and the store keeps ticking even when you step away from the till for a minute. It feels less like hiring a number and more like collecting a small crew of very calm coworkers.
Growth is the real goal, and it happens in small steps rather than big level jumps. Its store page tags it as incremental, and that fits: a ten minute session still leaves the shop with one more department or a slightly fuller shelf than before. Nothing rushes you, which is rare for a business game.
Controls for Moving Around the Store
The whole game is played with a keyboard, and the input list is short.
- WASD moves your capybara through the aisles.
- Arrow keys do the same thing, so pick whichever side of the keyboard feels better.
- Walking up to a shelf, a crate or the counter is how you interact. The same movement keys handle stocking, picking up goods and serving customers, so your hand never has to leave that cluster of buttons.
There is nothing else to bind or memorize. Tablets and phones are listed as supported as well, and movement is the only input the game asks for there.
