Atari Breakout

That tiny thrill when the ball finally clips that last lonely brick and everything goes quiet, followed by a tiny celebration in your head. It feels neat, almost meditative, but with a pulse if you miss the catch.

You basically move a paddle left and right and keep a ball bouncing, trying to break every brick on the screen. There is no fluff, no story, just timing and angles. The physics are simple, so a good hit off the paddle can send the ball screaming into a cluster of bricks and it feels great.

I still find it oddly addictive, even though it is basically just bounce and clear. Play gets tense when the last few bricks hang up top, and then one clean ricochet can make you smile. Try to aim for gaps and bank shots instead of just smacking the ball straight up, it helps rack up clears faster.
