Escape Road 2

Escape Road 2 is a driving survival game about outrunning the police through a city after a bank robbery. You steer through traffic, grab cash bags and stay alive as long as possible. It plays free in your browser with no download, on desktop, tablet or phone.

A Heist Chase That Tightens the Longer You Survive

The setup barely needs explaining. A robbery just happened, and half the city is suddenly after your car. Police cruisers give chase first, then helicopters join from above and armored military vehicles start showing up as the run drags on. Touching a building, clipping civilian traffic or landing in water ends the run on the spot, so the pressure never really lets up.

Difficulty builds with time instead of levels. The longer you stay alive, the more directions trouble comes from, and the police get better at cutting off routes instead of just following. Compared with the earlier Escape Road, they react faster and block roads more deliberately here, which kills the old trick of simply holding a straight line down a wide street.

Reading Traffic and Finding Ways Out

Most of a good run comes down to reading traffic patterns. Lanes fill with random obstacles, and spotting a gap early matters more than driving flat out, because a clean route through a crowded street beats speed every time. Sharp turns, quick steering corrections and constant movement keep the chase from closing in.

Cash bags sit along the streets and collecting them takes a small risk, usually a detour through the busiest part of the road. It is worth it over time because the money carries into the garage and toward long term vehicle progression. The game currently holds a perfect 10 rating from the small batch of votes cast so far, which is not much to go on yet but is a nice signal for a browser title.

Trading Up in the Garage

Money gathered during chases unlocks vehicle spins in the garage, and the roster goes up to ninety vehicles spread across rarity tiers. They are not cosmetic reskins either. Speed, durability and handling all shift from one car to the next, so a heavy and tough ride forgives more mistakes while a quicker one rewards clean driving and punishes every bump.

Ditching a Wreck and Stealing a Replacement

When a car gets stuck or takes heavy damage, you can leave it and steal a nearby vehicle instead of letting the run die in place. A parachute opens on its own if a vehicle explodes while airborne, which keeps an escape going through a midair wreck. Chases also unfold across a range of city layouts, and the 3D visuals are a clear step above the first game.

Controls and What Each Key Does

The browser build is an HTML5 game that runs on desktop, tablet and mobile, and the clearest way to play is with a keyboard. Every input is listed below.

  • A or D, and the Left or Right Arrow keys, steer the car left and right.
  • W or the Up Arrow accelerates.
  • S or the Down Arrow reverses.
  • Spacebar exits a vehicle or enters a nearby one.
  • The parachute opens by itself during airborne exits, so there is no button for it.
