You wake up trapped in a place that was never meant to be visited at night. Sister Madeline owns the corridors, and a few other things wander with her. Getting out is not a single door, it is the whole building opened one lock at a time. Find a key, open a room, find the next key, repeat. Some rooms hide the item you need. Others hide something that wants you gone.

Noise Is the Real Enemy

This is the rule that reshapes how you move. Sister Madeline reacts to sound. Sprint down a corridor and you may as well announce your address. Walk, and you stay low. When her footsteps get close, freeze, then slide behind a locker, a desk or a doorway and let her walk past. Breaking her line of sight usually beats running.

Patience is the habit worth building. Clear each room slowly, glance behind you, and save the sprint for the moment she has already spotted you. Running out of breath in the middle of a hallway is how most decent runs collapse.

Puzzles, Keys and Locked Doors

Progress comes from small puzzles and a lot of item hunting. Look for notes, odd objects and anything that does not belong, then carry it to the right lock. None of the puzzles are hard, the real challenge is memory and nerve. When you get stuck, the answer is normally a door you already walked past twice.

The scariest stretch is the first hour, while the map is still a mystery. After that you learn her routes and some of the fear turns into routine. That is true of the whole genre, so it is not much of a complaint.
