Haunted School is a free browser survival horror game where you walk through an abandoned school, hunt for clues and priest tools, and try to send a demonic child back where she belongs. No download is needed, it runs on desktop, tablet or mobile, and a shotgun is the only comfort you get.

What Waits Inside the Old Building

The school has been shut for years, though empty is doing a lot of work in that sentence. Classrooms look normal until a desk drags itself across the floor. Notes and torn pages lie around like breadcrumbs, and they point toward the tools a priest needs for the exorcism. A girl in a uniform is never far behind, and she has no interest in letting you finish the ritual. Details come through scattered notes instead of cutscenes, and the steps of the ceremony stay vague just long enough to keep you reading.

Searching Rooms, Notes and Your Own Nerves

Most of a run is quiet checking: open a door, sweep the room, grab what you can carry, then move on before the footsteps catch up. Supplies stay thin the whole time. The shotgun works as a pause button when the demon closes in, but shells run dry fast, and after that your options shrink to running and hiding. One bad scare can eat half your ammo, and crouching behind a locker for a few silent minutes counts as a solid plan. Crouching also keeps you quiet, sprinting covers ground quickly at the cost of noise, and every door you open is a small bet. Even in well lit rooms you only see a few meters ahead, so the layout of the building starts living in your head after a couple of runs. The build runs on Unity and the provider page dates it to May 2022, so expect chunky 3D corridors rather than slick modern graphics. That works fine here. Creaking floors and a distant laugh do more damage than any shader.
