Deform Your Car

A Driving Game Where the Car Changes Shape

Deform Your Car is a physics driving game where you reshape your vehicle before and during a run so it can cross bumpy ground and reach a coin. It is free to play in the browser, with no download, on desktop, tablet and mobile.

Most levels start with a plain car sitting on uneven ground, and the only tools you get are a few red circles attached to the body. Pull one outward and the frame stretches. Push another inward and the whole thing squats lower. The wheels tilt, the suspension starts behaving differently, and a slope that looked impossible a minute ago suddenly feels passable. Watching a squashed car wobble its way to the finish line is odd in a good way, and there is no clock rushing you, which suits me fine.

Deform Your Car Gameplay Basics

Every stage has one goal, getting the car to the coin without flipping over or getting stuck. Terrain is the main obstacle, full of dips, ridges and ramps that trip up a normal wheelbase. A long, stretched car has more reach over gaps but tips easily on tight corners. A short, compressed car is stable on flat stretches yet struggles on steep climbs. Working out a shape that survives the whole trip is the real challenge, and the answer changes from one level to the next.

You do not unlock everything at once either. New stages keep throwing different ground at you, and the shape that carried you through one stretch can ruin the next. That back and forth between reshaping and driving is what kept me coming back. The 7 out of 10 rating from 20 votes feels about right, since the game is rough around the edges but the core idea is genuinely fun to poke at.

Controls for Shaping and Driving

Nothing is hidden here, and everything you need sits on the screen, so there is no key layout to memorize.

  • Mouse: left click and drag the red circles to stretch the car longer or squash it shorter before you set off.
  • Gas button: click the on-screen pedal to move the car forward along the ground.
  • Touch: on a tablet or phone, drag the circles and tap the gas button with a finger instead.

You can also adjust the shape while the car is moving, which is handy when a slope ahead looks worse than it did from the start.

Release, Rating and Platforms

Deform Your Car came out on 4 June 2026 and runs on HTML5, which means any modern browser can handle it without extra plugins. Desktop, tablet and phone all work, and the screen layout adjusts to fit. Ratings on this one are decent rather than glowing, and I get why. The handling takes a few levels to click, and some later terrain will test your patience. Stick with it though, because there is a little payoff every time a weird shape finally clears a nasty ridge.
