Super Bear Adventure is a 3D platform game where you play as Baaren, a bear roaming an open kingdom in search of honey coins, hidden secrets and trapped friends. It is free to play right in a web browser, with no download, and it comes from Earthkwak Games, the small French studio behind the mobile and console versions.

I went in expecting a quick kids game and stayed way longer than I planned. The whole thing is bright and silly in a way that hides how much there actually is to do. You get a bear with a handful of moves, a map that keeps saying yes to your bad ideas, and a pile of secrets that never feel like a chore to chase.

A Bear, a Kingdom, and a Lot of Honey

The premise is easy to sum up. This realm used to be quiet until the bees started making purple honey, and anyone who eats it turns into a mindless drone. Your job as Baaren is to wander each region, bonk the troublemakers, and free the bear friends who got swept up in all of it. It plays like a late 90s 3D adventure, so the world is built around exploring rather than rushing down one hallway. Meadows, caves, snow ridges and toy towns all hide something if you slow down and poke around.

How a Run Through the Kingdom Unfolds

The loop is simple to pick up. You drop into a region, notice a line of honey coins in the distance, and let the coins pull you toward the next jump. A trail of coins across a gap is basically a sign that says go this way. The real secrets sit higher, tucked behind walls that look solid or on top of chimneys that want a careful plan instead of one lucky bounce. Collectibles are how this game talks to you, and it is generous with them.

Movement has a little weight behind it. Get a running start and your jumps stretch further, which matters more on the wider gaps later. The moves are forgiving enough that a missed jump usually costs you a short walk back, not a rage quit. There are vehicles to drive, daily challenges to attempt, and mini games for when you want a break from platforming.

Enemies, Costumes, and the Stuff You Hoard

Combat stays light and honestly pretty funny. You stomp, roll and bump goofy foes that never learn their lesson, and a hit costs you one heart that you can top up from a jar of honey nearby. Along the way you grab items to customize Baaren, so your bear can run around in a tiny cape while you fuss over a puzzle. That mix keeps a session from turning into the same three jumps on repeat.

Controls and Moves

Everything maps to a few inputs, so there is nothing to memorize:

Move and steer: WASD or the arrow keys.
Jump: Spacebar. Tap it for a small hop, hold it a beat longer for a higher arc.
Look around: the mouse swings the camera.
On phones and tablets: drag the on screen stick to move and tap the jump button.

Rolls, ground pounds and the wall grabs all come off that same set of inputs, so your hands stay put while Baaren strings moves together.

Difficulty, Speedruns, and Short Sessions

The early regions teach you the basics without much pressure, and the later ones start stacking wind, moving platforms and puzzles that want a second of thinking. There is an active speedrunning crowd around this game, which says plenty about how clean a good route can feel once you know it. You can also just graze. Ten minutes fills a small break, and an hour gets you a couple of freed friends and a fresh region to poke at.
