Checkers Online

People often try to jump a piece without checking for a follow up jump, then they get surprised when the opponent crowns a king on the next turn and the game turns on them. Happens all the time.

You move pieces diagonally, click or tap a piece and then click the square you want it on, drag works too if you are on a phone. Captures are by jumping, kings move backward, and the goal is to trap or take all the opponent pieces. It feels crisp and a little addictive, like a calm but tense puzzle where a single missed move swings the match. I like the clean board and how matches are quick, not padded with fluff.

  • Controls: click or tap to select and place, drag supported on touch. Keyboard is not needed.
  • What you actually do: control space, force trades, look for multi jumps and try to keep your back row to stop easy kings.
  • Casual tip: bait a trade when you are ahead, but avoid leaving a diagonal that creates a forced double jump later.
  • Similar games: Lichess, Chess.com, PlayOK, Draughts.org, Checkers 365 – if you like turn based board play those are worth checking out.
